The V-Continent Beijing Parkview Wuzhou Hotel
has joined Summit Hotels & Resorts.
Previously known as Crowne
Plaza Beijing Parkview Wuzhou, the hotel is owned by Beijing North
Star, one of the biggest real estate companies in Beijing that
currently also owns and manages seven other hotels in China.
Located in the north
of Beijing, V-Continent Beijing Parkview Wuzhou Hotel is situated
just a 10-minute walk away from the Bird’s Nest Sports Centre and
the Olympic Park, where the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were held.
It is adjacent to the Beijing International Conference Centre, and
the prime Wang Jing business hub where key multinational companies
like Microsoft, Siemens and Mercedes Benz have located their
regional offices.
The hotel has excellent MICE facilities –
boasting one of the largest pillar-less ballrooms in the city with
natural lighting, at an impressive 1,200sqm in size with a maximum
capacity of 800 persons.
There is also an outdoor function area that is
popular for weddings and other social events.
Mr. Ananya Narayan, Executive Vice President of
Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Preferred Hotel Group, said, “We are excited to have V-Continent Beijing
Parkview Wuzhou Hotel on board with us here in Beijing as
Preferred Hotel Group forges ahead with our expansion plans into
the key markets within China. Over the last few years, we have
successfully migrated hotels from chain brands with management
contracts to being independent entities, and helping them
establish their own brand identities. We see this growing trend in
China, and embrace opportunities to offer independent hotel owners
the business tools and international branding power to compete
effectively in the worldwide hospitality arena.”
Beijing is the second largest Chinese city by urban population
after Shanghai and is the nation's political, cultural, and educational center. It is home to the headquarters of most of
China's largest state-owned companies, and is a major hub for the
