AAR has completed a cabin modification project
in a tight timeframe on three Airbus A319-100s flown by Drukair,
the national carrier of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
AAR replaced the business and
economy class seats, installed additional passenger seating in
economy class and received design approvals from the European
Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Europe’s airworthiness authority.
AAR completed the
modifications of the three aircraft in just eight weeks.
“May I
take this opportunity to thank everyone for their generous
contribution and support in ensuring the successful completion of
this project,” said Thrimchong Wangdi, General Manager of Drukair.
“We acknowledge that the project had a tight deadline and without
the commitment and dedication of all involved, the completion
would not have been possible.”
Michael Leung, Director, AAR
Engineering Services – Asia, commended AAR Engineering Services
Singapore for ensuring quality in a fast turnaround.
“Our
team put a lot into developing the engineering and managing the
supply chain, including our seat shop and MRO partner. They once
again proved capable of completing high-intensity programs on
time, meeting customer expectations,” Leung said. “We provide our
customers in Asia and elsewhere a one-stop shop for all their
aircraft modification needs to help them meet challenges in a
dynamic market environment.”
