Japan Airlines has postponed the launch of its
nonstop flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Helsinki originally
scheduled for 25 February 2013.
The change has been made because of necessary
adjustments to JAL's international routes utilizing the
Boeing 787
aircraft, which have been grounded since 16 January 2013.
In a statement issued today, JAL said it
"apologizes to all customers and related parties for the
inconvenience and concerns caused as a result of recent issues
with the 787 fleet."
The airline hopes to be able to reschedule the
launch date of Narita-Helsinki services at a later date. Customers
with confirmed reservations on concerned flights, should contact
the airline or their travel agent to enquire about alternative
options.
