Swiss-Belhotel has unveiled plans to open ten
new hotels in Indonesia by the end of 2013, with 16 more scheduled
for 2014.
Swiss-Belhotel International's biggest presence is in
Indonesia, where it currently operates 34 hotels - a number which
will swell to 60 by the end of 2014.
Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and
President, Mr Gavin M. Faull, said he was delighted to be further
strengthening its presence within Indonesia, consolidating the
company's leadership position in a market in which it is already
well established.
"Indonesia continues to enjoy strong
economic growth and we are proud to be supporting that," said Mr
Faull. "One of our guiding principles is to work in partnership
with local economies for mutual benefit. It is this win-win
strategy that has been at the cornerstone of our sustainable
development as a company and will continue to fuel our growth."
The list of Swiss-Belhotel International properties set to
open within the next two years highlights the diverse scope of the hotel management company, with hotels ranging from five-star
luxury such as the 212-room Ciputra World Surabaya opening in
April 2014, to the launch of Swiss-Belhotel International's
new budget hotel brand Zest Hotels, with the 120-room
Zest Hotel Airport, Jakarta opening end of 2014.
"Zest
Hotels is an exciting new brand wholly owned by Swiss-Belhotel
International through which we will offer a quality two-star hotel
in a convenient location that focuses on the modern mobile market
that books direct from their mobile phones or other portable
devices," said Mr Faull.
By mid 2015, a total of 15 ZEST Hotels will have
opened in Indonesia in locations such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta,
Batam, Manado, Bogor, Balikpapan, Surabaya, Ambon, Bandung,
Lampung, Cirebon, Legian and Kuta in Bali.
Swiss-Belhotel
International's portfolio currently comprises more than 120 hotels
and resorts ranging from tw- to five-star brand classifications
across Asia and the Middle East.
