The Kyoto Tokyu Hotel and Nagoya Tokyu Hotel
have been added to the Asia Pacific portfolio of Summit Hotels &
Resorts in Japan.
These two hotels will join the flagship of Tokyu
Hotels - The Capitol Tokyu Hotel in Tokyo, which had joined
Preferred Hotel Group in 2010 as a member of Preferred Hotels &
Resorts.
Currently, the group has a total of 13 member hotels in
Japan, of which seven properties, spread across Preferred
Hotel group’s stable of brands, are situated in Tokyo.
Moving
forward, Preferred Hotel Group is now strategically moving into
secondary Japanese cities as part of its expansion plans within
the country.
Ms Kaori Yamaguchi,
Regional Director, Japan, said, “We have forged a strong partnership
with Tokyu Hotels, who have 54 hotels in Japan and also the Mauna
Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows in Hawaii, which is also a member of
Preferred Hotels & Resorts. The addition of Kyoto Tokyu Hotel and
Nagoya Tokyu Hotel as our members is a wonderful opportunity for
Preferred Hotel Group and Tokyu Hotels to grow together, bringing
the business relationship to the next level and increase Preferred
Hotel Group’s footprints in the country.”
