A new General Manager, Jesse Kornoff, now heads up the team at the Peppers Manor House in Australia.

Mr Kornoff has a wealth of hotel experience in Operations and Food and Beverage roles. This includes a previous role with Peppers Moonah Links on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula as well as Quay West Magenta Shores; the historic QStation and Rydges in Port Douglas, Christchurch and Queenstown.

“The property has so much history and character to create a memorable stay. The grounds, the lounges, the Great Hall and Katers Restaurant all provide an amazing ambience for the new team to build a great experience within,” said Mr Kornoff. “My goal is to have a hatted restaurant focused on local sustainable produce and a hotel recognised for offering an amazing retreat experience.”

Charged with the task of taking Katers Restaurant to the top is new Executive Chef Daniel James – fresh from a 15-year run with Starwood hotels in Sydney, Melbourne and Fiji. He is creating a new menu, an exclusive high tea offering and a Manor House market garden to capitalise on the rich soils of the Southern Highlands.

The new menu capitalises on the Southern Highlands wealth of natural produce with its own Manor House garden complemented by an array of mushrooms, truffles, olive oil and ciders sourced within a 35km radius.

Beef, lamb, pork and duck are sourced either from the Highlands or neighbouring Picton and Crookwell regions, complemented by a wine list that incorporates local varieties and selections from Australia and New Zealand’s best wine regions.

In addition to Katers, Peppers Manor House has also opened a new dining and functions venue – The Stables. Perfect for intimate celebrations and weddings or VIP incentive groups the original Manor House tack room has been lovingly restored to offer a unique venue for up to 20 people.

Peppers Manor House is located on Kater Road, Sutton Forest, 90 minutes south of Sydney.
