Shun Tak Holdings Limited has launched Artyzen Hospitality Group Limited (AHG), the group's first branded hotel management company.

AHG will develop a collection of upscale hotel brands and will offer management to other hotel owners and developers. Its priority is to establish flagship hotels in strategic locations and key gateway cities.

Taking the helm at AHG is Rogier Verhoeven, Executive Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, who has overseen the launch of dozens of real estate and hospitality projects internationally, including MGM Macau.

Robbert van der Maas has been appointed President of AHG and Jerry Huang President of AHG Greater China.

van der Maas has more than 30 years of senior management experience across Asia with chains like Hyatt and Four Seasons. He was most recently Vice President of Hotel Operations at MGM Macau.

Huang was most recently President of IHG Greater China and has over 30 years experience in the industry. He has been Vice-chairman of the China Tourist Hotel Association since 2007 and is a member of the China National Tourism Administration Platinum Five-Star Grading Committee.

Shun Tak Holdings Limited has one of the most diversified travel and tourism portfolios across Greater China, comprising hotel investments, passenger ferries, coach buses, travel agencies, tourist facility management, leisure entertainment, MICE solutions and hospitality training and recruitment services.

“The market is gaining sophistication at such a dazzling speed that established multinational hotel brands have difficulty keeping pace. This has created a valuable window of opportunity for us, as we have accumulated a wealth of experience in the region and insights on the consumption pattern of Chinese travelers,” said Pansy Ho, Managing Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited.
