Very interesting insights and update into the global aviation
industry and in particular what it all means to airlines in Asia
Pacific.
Mr. Andrew Herdman, Director General of
the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), shares his
thoughts on the industry at the opening of the 57th Assembly of
Presidents in Hong Kong on 15 November 2013.
AAPA is run as a not-for-profit association, and
is fully funded through annual membership subscriptions, based on
a formula which reflects the relative sizes of member airlines in
terms of their regional traffic volumes. Membership is open to
scheduled international airlines based within the time zones
between GMT+7 and GMT+12.
AAPA maintains a permanent secretariat based in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, led by the Director General, Andrew
Herdman, who reports through the Executive Committee to the
Assembly of Presidents.
