Questex Hospitality + Travel has confirmed it
will host the Asia Pacific Hotel Investment Conference in Bangkok
for the second year.
The sixth Asia Pacific Hotel Investment
Conference, part of the International Hotel Investment Forum
(IHIF) Summit series of events organised by Questex Hospitality +
Travel, will be held 20-21 May 2014 at the Dusit Thani Bangkok.
Marilyn McHugh, Questex Hospitality + Travel
vice president, global events, noted that Thailand is emerging as
the hub for tourism in the region, with arrivals this year
expected to surpass 26 million for the first time and revenues
anticipated to exceed THB 2 trillion by 2015.
"This
exploding market will receive a further boost following the
introduction of a tourism master plan by the Ministry of Tourism
and Sports, with 28 infrastructure projects approved or in the
pipeline and many more on-ground opportunities to discover,"
Ms. McHugh
said.
Chanin Donavanik, managing director and
chief executive officer of Dusit International, is expected to
speak at the summit along with 60 other speakers.
More
than 400 delegates representing more than 100 hospitality and
luxury companies are also expected to attend, figures that represent a
significant increase over this year's event. Attendees are
expected to include some of the region's leading hotel owners,
investors, operators, developers, policymakers, designers,
architects and master planners.
Delegates will be entitled
to enjoy an exclusive rate of THB 4,500 net per room per night at
Dusit Thani Bangkok, with complimentary upgrades to Club Executive
Suites that include breakfast and a host of Dusit Club Lounge
benefits.
VIP registration is now open to qualified hotel
owners at a special rate of US$695, which is applicable for
registrations made before 28 February 2014.
