Hilton has appointed Guy Hutchinson as
vice president operations, for India.
Hutchinson’s experience in the hospitality
industry spans two decades and encompasses positions in the United
Kingdom, Europe, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Australia and China.
In his new assignment, Hutchinson reports to
Martin Rinck, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide, and is
based at the company’s India Regional Office in Gurgaon, Delhi
NCR.
Prior to taking charge in India, Hutchinson was
regional general manager for North China, where he was responsible
for all brands in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio that have a
presence in North China and Mongolia, including Waldorf Astoria
Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts
and DoubleTree by Hilton. Appointed in this role in 2011, Hutchinson managed 11 trading hotels and more than 23 hotels in
various stages of pre-opening.
Previously, Hutchinson was the
general manager of Hilton Shanghai for over three years. He has
also held general management, operations and business development
positions in various hotels in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio in Australia, Japan, United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands.
Before joining Hilton Worldwide in 1997,
Hutchinson gained experience in finance, front office operations,
food and beverage and purchasing in various hotel management,
property development and investment, as well as, private
healthcare companies.

Hilton presently operates 12 hotels in the
country under four of its brands.
