Air Cairo, a low cost Egyptian airline, will
launch direct flights from Alexandria and Assyut to Riyadh, Saudi
Arabia, from 25 March 2013.
"We have an ambitious plan to expand and develop
the network, and will continue to provide new destinations and
increase frequencies in order to provide more options to our
customers in all Egyptian governorates, as well as prices to suit
everyone," said Yasser El Ramly, Chairman and CEO of Air Cairo.
"With the operation to Riyadh we will have 45 scheduled weekly
flights. This expansion of the network in the Middle East comes
under the strategy of the Ministry of Aviation to grow investments
and provide more services for residents of Egyptian governorates
located far from Cairo."
Air Cairo will operate the route with a single
class Airbus 320 which can accommodate up to 177 passengers.
