The teams from South Africa and France arrived
in Hong Kong on Sunday morning ahead of the
2013 Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens (22-24 March 2013).
South Africa, who are currently in second place on this years
HSBC Sevens World Series will be hoping to carry on the momentum
of their win in the last preceding event to the Hong Kong Sevens,
Las Vegas, as they seek to break the duck at So Kon Po.
France meanwhile is enjoying their most
successful season of HSBC Sevens World Series rugby. The French
currently lie in fifth place on the World Series with 59 points
and have reached one Cup final already this season, losing to
series-leaders New Zealand in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
South Africa is drawn into what has been dubbed the group of
death for this years Hong Kong Sevens in Pool A alongside Wales,
Argentina and Australia.
Life wont be much easier for
France in Pool B alongside New Zealand, United States and Kenya.
South Africa open against Argentina in the last game of
the opening day of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens on Friday evening at 21:16 while France start off against New Zealand
in the penultimate match on Friday evening at 20:54.
