British Airways is marking the arrival of its
Airbus A380 aircraft in Hong Kong by rewarding Club World business
class customers with discounted upgrades to First class on
outbound flights to Europe.
Customers can book tickets on British
Airways’ Club World business class from HK$34,380 and upgrade one
way to the First suite from HK$7,100 extra.
Fares must be booked by 4 November 2013. The
offer is available for outbound travel from Hong Kong between
19 November 2013 and 31 May 2014.
First class
customers will have the opportunity to enjoy the A380 from the
front of the main deck in seats evolved from the current First
class with 30% more personal space and 60% more
personal stowage.
"The UK and Europe are popular
destinations for our Hong Kong customers, so it is very exciting
to be able to provide them with the latest technology and the
brand new, spacious cabins of the A380,” said Tracy Dedman,
British Airways Regional General Manager, Greater China & the
Philippines.
The inaugural flight to Hong Kong for
the world’s largest commercial jet will depart London on 22 October
2013 and depart Hong Kong for London the following day, making
it the first airline to operate the A380 non-stop between Hong
Kong and Europe.
“The milestone provides us with
the opportunity to showcase our world renowned First class
experience to Club World business customers at a very special
rate,” added Dedman. “It also complements the
services already offered to Club World business customers,
including access to the UK Immigration Fast Track Service, and our
world-renowned Arrivals lounge.”
British Airways
operates two daily non-stop flights to Hong Kong. The A380 will
serve flight BA25 from London to Hong Kong, and BA26 from Hong
Kong to London.
