Four Points by Sheraton Penang Appoints GM

Kurt Vieren has been appointed as General Manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Penang, scheduled to open in October 2013.

Kurt’s career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts began in year 2000 when he was hired as the Front Office Manager at Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nuremberg in Germany.

In 2008, he was transferred to The Palace San Francisco, A Luxury Collection Hotel as its Hotel Manager. After 3 years there, Kurt’s love for Asia proved too strong to resist and he was appointed Hotel Manager of the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel.

The 220-room Four Points by Sheraton Penang is situated along a stretch of white sandy beach overlooking the sea of Tanjung Bungah.

Located on the only main link road, between UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Georgetown and Batu Ferringhi, the hotel is only 12 minutes from the city center and 45 minutes from the Bayan Lepas International Airport bybus or taxi.
