JAL will serve Champagne Salon 2002 in First
Class on its international routes from 16 December 2013, months in
advance of the champagne's global distribution date planned for
April 2014.
JAL has provided Champagne Salon in its First
Class since December 2007 and is the only airline in the world to
serve this legendary champagne on its flights.
Champagne Salon is a product of the House of
Salon established at the beginning of 20th century. The champagne
is only produced in years when the harvest is considered by the
House of Salon to be of high enough quality, and is only released
for consumption once it has reached full maturity, usually on
average 10 years after the grapes were first harvested.
In over a
century of production only 37 vintages have been released for
general consumption.
Passengers travelling in JAL's First Class are
indulged with the high champagne "Salon 2002" and a delectable
inflight meal from "Restaurant in the Sky".
In our September 2012 HD video interview with
Ms. Jeannie Cho Lee about wine and champagne, Ms. Cho Lee names
Champagne Salon as one of her top three favoutite champagnes of
all time. Watch the
