The Langham London Celebrates 148 Years

Langham Hospitality Group is celebrating the 148th birthday of its flagship hotel, The Langham, London, with a series of ‘Think Pink’ activities at the group’s hotels around the world.

On 10 June 1865, The Langham, London became one of the world’s very first hotels to feature hydraulically-operated lifts, modern plumbing systems as well as hot and cold running water in all its guest rooms.

“The name ‘Think Pink’ was chosen as it reflects Langham’s corporate colour – a colour depicting an innovative and unusual spirit. Langham has been redefining hospitality by continuously generating fresh ideas and modern innovations on how we provide our service and products, and this continued effort has elevated the group in new heights,” said Brett Butcher, Chief Executive Officer.
