Singapore’s HH Properties, a joint venture
between niche property development group, Hiap Hoe Limited, and
SuperBowl Holdings Limited, an owner and manager of leisure and
commercial properties, has completed its Sin$300 million
integrated development on Balestier Road.
Managed by Wyndham Hotel Group, Ramada Singapore
at Zhongshan Park will open on 18 May 2013, and follows the
opening of the
Days Hotels Singapore at Zhongshan Park in December 2012.
Offering a combined total of almost 800
rooms across the three and four-star hotel segment, Ramada and
Days Hotels Singapore at Zhongshan Park is the first
hotel-by-the-park development in the country and plays an integral
part in the transformation of the Balestier locale.
“The integrated development at Zhongshan Park is
aimed at opening new frontiers for the Balestier community. The convenience of having everything under one roof, from commercial
offices, hotels and event facilities to shopping and dining
options, creates a business and lifestyle destination that will
add significant value to both the local community and travellers
visiting Singapore,” said Teo Ho Beng, Executive Chairman and CEO
of Hiap Hoe Group.
The 17-storey
384-room Ramada Singapore at Zhongshan Park provides guests with
home-away-from-home amenities and modern conveniences such as flat
screen TVs with cable channel access, complimentary in-room WiFi
access, and around-the-clock room service.
Facilities include a 30-meter swimming pool, 24-hour gym,
Heritage Lounge and business centre.
The hotel also features an all-day dining restaurant, Flavours at Zhongshan Park, offering Straits Chinese as well as
western cuisine.
The hotel’s two state-of-the-art function
facilities feature Sin$500,000 investment in top-performing audiovisual equipment and
are equipped with the flexibility to accommodate events requiring
different set-ups.
The main ‘Balestier’ ballroom
measures 340 square meters of pillar-less space and has a 6-meter
high ceiling. It will accommodate up to 300 guests in a theatre
seating or up to 260 guests in a dinner banquet seating, and can
be split into three functions rooms to cater to smaller seminars.
The ‘Zhongshan’ meeting room overlooking Zhongshan Park offers natural daylight and can accommodate up to 150 guests in a theatre
seating or be split into two separate meeting and function rooms.
Tony Cousens, General Manager, Ramada and Days
Hotels at Zhongshan Park, said, “As most tourists are not
first-time visitors to Singapore, we’re seeing a growth in
cultural tourism as more travellers move away from the city
looking to explore different parts of Singapore such as Balestier.
This uptrend is a sign of greater demand for quality accommodation
in these areas, and the introduction of Ramada Singapore at
Zhongshan Park will offer business and leisure travellers a
glimpse into Balestier’s rich heritage with the comfort of modern
conveniences.”
The hotel offers direct access to Zhongshan Mall, a two-storey shopping
centre of over 4,600 square meters anchored by Fairprice Finest.
Other tenants at the mall include lifestyle and dining outlets
such as BreadTalk, ToastBox, Thai Express, Crystal Jade Steamboat
Restaurant, Gong Cha, Le Rouge specialty gift shop, Money Xchange
and Guardian.
Ramada Singapore at Zhongshan Park is a mere five-minute
complimentary shuttle bus service away from Novena MRT and the Velocity and United Square shopping malls and office
towers, Novena Medical hub and the newly-opened Mount Elizabeth
Novena Hospital. The hotel is also within walking distance of the
hugely popular
Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice.
In celebration of its opening,
Ramada Singapore at Zhongshan Park has launched a room package
with rates from Sin$180++ for room
only, and Sin$200++ including breakfast for stays until 31 August
2013. The promotional rates also include 10% off food and beverage when
