Bombardier Aerospace has stepped up its commitment to build an
industry-leading aftermarket service network for its business
aircraft customers with the the addition of a new
Line Maintenance Facility (LMF) in Qatar.
Qatar Airways' Corporate Jet Division,
Qatar Executive, based at Doha International Airport, has been
named LMF for Challenger 300, Challenger 604, Challenger 605 jets
and Global business jets.
“Qatar Airways has built a successful business
flying and maintaining Bombardier business jets under the Qatar
Executive banner and they know our aircraft intimately,” said Éric
Martel, President, Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and
Amphibious Aircraft. “Maintenance and repair services are central
to a positive ownership experience, and we are extremely pleased
to extend our relationship with Qatar Executive to support the
growing base of Bombardier customers in the Middle East.”
Established in 2009, Qatar Executive has quickly emerged as one of
the region’s premier charter and maintenance service providers,
with both Challenger and Global aircraft at the heart of its
premium fleet. The company employs a full-time staff of 13 maintenance technicians and their operations take place in a
67,800 sq. ft. (6,300 sq. m.) maintenance hangar.

The news brings to 57 the number
of Authorized Service Facilities (ASFs) and LMFs catering to
Bombardier’s business and commercial aircraft customers, now in 28
countries. These are supported by nine Bombardier-owned service centres in North America and Europe. In the past two years alone,
Bombardier has granted 11 new ASF and LMF designations in
locations worldwide, expanded capacity and scope at its first
wholly owned service centre outside of North America, at Schiphol
Airport in Amsterdam, and announced a new wholly owned facility
for business aircraft to be opened in Singapore in 2013.
