Viktoria Riley has been appointed as
Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for Anantara Phuket Villas,
as well as the new Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa opening in
2013.
Viktoria joins the Anantara brand with almost 20
years of leisure and hospitality experience, bringing with her
expertise in hotel openings, an innovative approach to marketing
strategies and an impressive performance record.
In her early career as a Service Supervisor &
Destination Tour Guide, she launched and set up Cuba as a new
destination for the Scandinavian market. Entering the hotel
industry as a Sales & Marketing Executive for Sol Meliá Hotels,
she progressed on to become Public Relations Manager & Manager on
Duty for Sol Elite Antilles & Barbados and Mallorca in Spain.
Viktoria joined Marriott International as Senior Account Sales
Manager for the pre-opening of Copenhagen Marriott Hotel in Denmark. She then relocated to the USA to take up the position of
International Senior Sales Manager for Marriott’s cluster office
in Orlando. Moving onto Germany as Director of Sales at the
Courtyard by Marriott Munich, Viktoria played a key role in the
property’s successful pre-opening, before taking up the position
of Director of Sales & Marketing for Frenchman’s Reef & Morning
Star Marriott Resort where she achieved an impressive revenue
increase in a volatile market.
Prior to joining the
Anantara team, Viktoria served as the Director of Sales &
Marketing at the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel in Arizona.
Viktoria speaks English, Danish, German, Norwegian, Spanish
and Hungarian, in addition to her native Swedish.
