Silversea Promotes Steve Odell to President Europe and Asia Pacific

Steve Odell has been appointed Silversea’s President for Europe and Asia Pacific.

With over 28 years of experience in senior positions at the luxury end of the travel and cruise markets, Mr Odell has been promoted from the position of Silversea’s Senior Vice President UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.

He has spearheaded Silversea’s expansion in key international markets, pioneering all inclusive cruise holidays and establishing the line at the pinnacle of luxury cruising.

Having joined Silversea Cruises in 1998 as its London-based, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Europe, Africa & Middle East, he relocated to Sydney in 2003 assuming commercial responsibility for Silversea’s Asia Pacific region.

In Australia, he was elected to the Board of the International Cruise Council of Australasia – becoming chairman in 2005.

He led the team opening Silversea’s corporate regional headquarters in Sydney and Singapore in 2007, managing 15 key regional markets from Australia and New Zealand to Japan, China, Hong Kong and India.

In 2008 he played a key role in the establishment of the Asia Cruise Association and he served on the UK’s Passenger Shipping Association from 1995-2003.
