Japan Airlines and British Airways have agreed
to add Rome, Milan, Bologna, Amsterdam and Warsaw to their list of
codeshare cities from 28 October 2012, when JAL will place its
flight indicator on the BA-operated flights between London and
these destinations.
Both members of the oneworld alliance recently
began their joint business between Europe and Japan on 1 October
2012,
with an existing codeshare arrangement including 27 destinations
in Europe served by BA as well as JAL's service on 17 routes
originating from Tokyo's Narita and Haneda airport to 14
international and domestic Japan destinations.
Bookings and ticket purchase for the newly added
segments are now open, and will
bring the total number of codeshare destinations for JAL with BA
within Europe to 32 cities.
