Air Austral, the international airline of the
Indian Ocean island of Reunion, will soon launch a new schedule on
its Reunion – Sydney route, and has introduced a range of special
fares from Australia to Reunion and Mauritius.
From 24 March until 9 May 2012, the
airline will operate one return service per week, after which it
will increase to two flights.
To build awareness of the rescheduled services,
Air Austral has introduced “Duo Fares”, offering competitive
prices for two people to travel together to Reunion and Mauritius.
Return Economy Class deals, including taxes, are
priced from just A$814 per person from Sydney, for travel
between 27 March and 29 April.
Air Austral also is offering
return fares in Premium Economy Class from A$1646 per person,
including taxes and A$2849 in Business Class.
Seats are limited at these prices, and to be
eligible, two passengers must be travelling together in the
same booking. Other terms and conditions apply.
Under the new schedule, Air Austral flight UU 951
initially will depart Reunion every Sunday, arriving in Sydney on
Monday at 07:05. The return flight, UU 952, will depart Sydney
every Tuesday at 13:15, arriving in Reunion at 18:30.
This
will connect with onward services to six destinations in France –
Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes, Marseilles Provence, Lyon and Toulouse.
From 9 May, when the second flight is added, UU951 will depart
Reunion every Thursday and Sunday, and fly from Sydney on Tuesdays
and Saturdays.
All flights will be operated with Boeing 777
200LR aircraft, seating 316 passengers in Economy class, 32 in
Premium Economy 14 in Business Class.
