Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has opened a
new hotel in Istanbul, Turkey.
The newly constructed, 210-room
Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis Marina, located on the Asian coast of
Istanbul, is the first upscale Wyndham hotel in Turkey.
The five-star hotel features 210 rooms over five
floors, including specially designed family suites, as well as
fourteen multi-functional meeting rooms, including a ballroom
which can accommodate up to 750 guests.
The Blue Harmony Spa
offers a host of therapeutic treatments as well as a sauna, hammam
and traditional Turkish baths.
The fitness center boasts
state-of-the art equipment and a separate gym and play area
designed especially for children.
Additional hotel
amenities and services include complimentary high-speed wireless
internet access, 24-hour business center as well as indoor and
outdoor pools.
On-site dining outlets include five restaurants and
cafés offering a variety of cuisines throughout the day and
24-hour room service.
The hotel’s prime location with
views of the exclusive Kalamis Marina and Marmara Sea
puts guests within close proximity to attractions like Beylerbeyi
Palace, Camlica Hill and Maiden’s Tower, as well as Istanbul
Ataturk Airport and Sabiha Gokcen Airport. The hotel is also in
walking distance of Bagdat Street, one of the city’s most popular
shopping streets.
“Turkey is a vibrant country that plays a key
role in our strategic plan to expand Wyndham Hotel Group’s
portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and better
serve lodging needs in major markets,” said Rui Barros, Wyndham Hotel Group’s senior vice president and managing director, EMEA.
“The opening of a first-rate hotel like Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis
Marina helps us serve those needs and demonstrates our continued
commitment to work with esteemed partners to bring high-quality
accommodations and hospitable service to travelers around the
world.”
The
opening of the franchised hotel, owned by Reisler Deri Sanayi Ve
Ticaret Limited Sirketi, adds to Wyndham Hotel Group’s presence in
Turkey, joining 12 hotels currently open and operating under the
Ramada brand.
The company also plans to welcome its second Wyndham
hotel in the country, the 306-room Wyndham Istanbul Petek, in summer 2013.
