Pegasus Solutions has appointed Steve Lapekas as
chief information officer.
Lapekas most recently served for two
years as executive vice president of corporate business
development for Pegasus, prior to which he also held the chief
technology officer position.

unique understanding of technology and its role driving innovation
and growth for the hospitality industry,” said
David Millili,
chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. “During more than
seven years with Pegasus, he has helped guide the company and our
clients through significant information technology
transformations, while also managing complex business development
and product positioning initiatives.”
During
Lapekas’ tenure at Pegasus, he has finalized a number of major
partnerships and licensing agreements. Most recently, he managed
the formation of a connection with China’s TravelSky to make
Pegasus’ global hotel inventory of nearly 100,000 hotels available
for booking in China. Additionally, Lapekas played the primary
role in Pegasus’ largest licensing transaction in company history
with HP to leverage Pegasus technology for next generation airline
and hospitality solutions.
Before joining Pegasus,
Lapekas served as the vice president of client services and
practice director of Entessa’s Automation Integration practice,
prior to which he held various global, client executive and
business administration roles with EDS. He also has IT experience
from roles with Global One Communications and Perot Systems.
Lapekas received a Bachelor of Science in
Environmental Science and Systems Engineering from the United
States Military Academy, West Point, New York. He was also a
three-year letter winner on the varsity baseball team.
