Pan Pacific Hotels Group will launch a
second Pan Pacific Serviced Suites in Singapore at the beginning
of 2013.
The property will be the fourth Pan Pacific Serviced Suites in the
group’s portfolio – after Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok and
Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Ningbo (opening August 2012).
The new 180-room Pan Pacific Serviced
Suites Beach Road, Singapore will complement Pan Pacific Serviced
Suites Orchard, Singapore - which opened in 2008 - by offering customers an alternative location
on Beach Road,
bordering the city and the Central Business District.
Supporting the group’s strategy to expand its
serviced suites portfolio in Asia and Greater China is the
appointment of Richard Tan, Vice President, Serviced Suites.
Richard, who is Malaysian, will be based in Singapore and will
oversee operations of the group’s seven serviced suites
properties.
Richard’s last appointment was with Ascott where as
Country General Manager – Vietnam, he was responsible for the performance of five properties in Vietnam while leading the
Business Development team in identifying investment and
management contract opportunities in the country.
Prior to
that, he was Area Manager, Singapore and led the teams at two
serviced apartments in Singapore. He also held the role of
Regional Manager (India), leading the opening team in the
launch of six properties in major cities in India.
“Richard
brings on board very specific knowledge and expertise in serviced
suites operations and development,” said A. Patrick Imbardelli,
President and CEO, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “This is key for
us; the extended stay segment in China and Asia presents huge
opportunities for us and we intend to fully capitalise on our
strengths in this area.”
Outside Singapore, the
group will extend its Pan Pacific and
ParkRoyal serviced suites offerings into China with two new properties this year. While Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Ningbo
will be part of the group’s first joint hotel and serviced
suites development in China, the opening of ParkRoyal Serviced
Suites Green City, Shanghai will mark the debut of the ParkRoyal brand in the country.
