GranMonte Wines
GranMonte gains its name from being beside Khao
Yai – “big mountain”. Situated in the North East of Thailand, 2
hours from Bangkok, the GranMonte vineyard has firmly established
itself as one of leading wine producers in Thailand. Located
in the beautiful Asoke Valley, immediately beside the Khao Yai
National Park, GranMonte vineyard has a unique microclimate ideal
for the production of chenin blanc, tempranillo, cabernet
sauvignon and shiraz grapes from the 20 hectare estate. The first
grapes were planted in 1999. Production is currently approximately
50,000 bottles, but there are plans in place to rise this to 120,000 bottles in the
future, with new wines set to join the list, including a sparkling
wine.
