EgyptAir has launched its first flights to the
Iraqi capital of Baghdad after suspending flights on the route for
more than 20 years.
The airline today also launches its first
flights to Arbil.
“EgyptAir took the decision to
operate this route in the light of the company’s regional
expansion strategy and to restore the investments and tourism
traffic between the two countries to the normal levels through
Cairo Hub,” said Captain Ayman Nasr, EgyptAir Chairman & CEO. “EgyptAir is confident of the ability to
carry on the network expansion plans and the operation of new routes”
EgyptAir is now operating 7 weekly flights to
Iraq with 4 flights to Baghdad on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and
Fridays and 3 flights to Arbil on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
onboard the A320 with a capacity of 145 seats.
