Nigel Fisher Appointed General Manager of Marco Polo Lingnan Tiandi Foshan

Nigel Fisher has been appointed as the General Manager of the Marco Polo Lingnan Tiandi Foshan, China.

Nigel has years of experience in food & beverage and hotel operations, having worked with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Four Seasons Sydney and Tanjung Rhu Resort Malaysia.

Prior to the appointment of this position, he was General Manager of the Marco Polo Davao, Philippines.

"The opening of this new hotel in Foshan will bring our number of China properties to six hotels, it is a milestone for Marco Polo and I am delighted that Nigel has taken up this vital role to spearhead the overall directions of this soon-to-open hotel. I am confident that he’ll excel in building the hotel’s business and reputation for service excellence," said Mr Steve Kleinschmidt, President of Marco Polo Hotels.

The Marco Polo Lingnan Tiandi is located in the central Chancheng district of Foshan at the crossroad of Zumiao Road and Renmin Road.

The hotel will host 391 rooms, suites and a variety of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom serviced apartments in addition to a Continental Club lounge and Club rooms.

Key features of the hotel will also include the 1000-seat Marco Polo Ballroom, function and meeting rooms with natural light and landscaped gardens, a Ceremonial Hall for weddings and three stylish villas with private gardens.

The hotel's dining options include Cafe Marco, a Lobby Lounge and specialty restaurants within the nearby Lingnan Tiandi cultural precinct.
