JAL is to temporarily reduce flight
frequency on certain domestic routes in efforts to maintain
profitability as travel demand declines following the Great East
Japan Earthquake.
Services will still be maintained on these
routes, just with a fewer number of daily round trip flights
between 9 May and June 1, 2011.
During this period, JAL will reduce up to a
total of 9 daily round trip operations on 6 domestic routes - 5 of
which originate from Tokyo (Haneda), to Sapporo, Osaka (Itami),
Fukuoka, Kagoshima and Okinawa (Naha).
In response to various event risks that affect
the airline industry, JAL will endeavor to make keen adjustments
to seat capacity based on demand.
