Her Majesty The Queen and Prince Philip will
arrive at Perth International Airport today (26 October 2011) at
16:25.
A public viewing area has been set up at the western end of
the International Terminal, and signage has been placed on the
forecourt to direct the public to the area. This area has limited
capacity and there is a fence that may obstruct viewing.
The
public viewing area is not covered and anyone attending is
encouraged to dress appropriately and bring wet weather
protection.
Parking for the Queens arrival is available
free of charge in Long Term Car Park I, which is located near the
Short Term Car Park at the International Terminal and within
walking distance to the public viewing area. Signage has been
located along Horrie Miller Drive directing the public to Long
Term Car Park I.
Perth Airport is operating as normal today and
there should be no impact to flight arrivals or departures.
However, the airport does recommend that those travelling today allow extra
travel time to and from the airport as traffic may be impacted by
motorcade movements and general traffic in the area.
Do note that public access via Sugar Bird Lady
Road is not available as the road is closed.
