British Airways says it will be carrying more than
250,000 people into London next week ahead of the Royal Wedding
celebrations.
The event is proving a huge draw for tourists
from the USA in particular, with the top six busiest routes into
London proving to be New York, Boston, Washington, Los Angeles,
Miami and San Francisco.
Scotland leads the way for short haul travel
with flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow very full.
France and Germany are the next most popular
with inbound flights from Paris, Nice, Munich and Berlin.
People all around the globe will be watching the
special occasion on 29 April 2011, with many street parties
planned across the UK.
People are even prepared to camp, sometimes for
days, to ensure they manage to get the best spots from which to
watch the historic procession. The route between Buckingham Palace
and Westminster Abbey goes by The Mall, Horse Guards Road, Horse
Guards Parade, through Horse Guards Arch, Whitehall, Parliament
Square and Broad Sanctuary.
