Amadeus has appointed Thomas Drexler as Director
of Rail, Amadeus.
In his most recent role, Thomas was Vice President of
Sales at Deutsche Bahn, where he held commercial roles for the
last eight years. Previously, Thomas worked at Lufthansa in Online
Sales, Lufthansa IT Services and also for two years at Start
Amadeus (currently Amadeus Germany) in Corporate Development and
Strategy.
The appointment of Thomas follows the company’s
recent establishment of a new businesses division, led by
Francisco Pérez-Lozao, to invest in the company’s diversification
and grow its hotel, rail, ground transportation and airport IT
businesses.
“We welcome Thomas to our team and the
technology, business and leadership expertise that he will bring
to Amadeus,” said Francisco Pérez-Lozao, Vice President New
Businesses, Amadeus. “Thomas’s combination of experience in the
travel distribution, airline and rail industries is rather unique
and makes him an ideal person to lead Amadeus Rail in times of
rail deregulation and inter modal travel.”
