The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has appointed
New Zealand native Carl Sladen as Director of Sales and Marketing.
From Sydney to the up-and-coming Vietnamese capital, Sladen brings
more than a decade of sales experience within the industry, to the marketing and reservations team at the 110-year-old Metropole.
Sladen most recently served as director of sales
for the acclaimed Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts' property in
Sydney. He has also
previously worked at the Four Seasons' properties in Toyko and
Bangkok.
Aside from Sydney, Tokyo and Bangkok, Sladen has
international exposure with Four Seasons and Regent properties in
Mexico and his hometown of Auckland.
"Carl Sladen's long years of experience and his fantastic attitude
will, without a doubt, be a strength to the Metropole's position
locally and internationally," said Kai Speth, the general manager
of the hotel. "The knowledge he's accumulated from working with
names that are the epitome of luxury hospitality operations will
be invaluable to the team at the Metropole."
Sladen takes over from the hotel's former
