Singapore Airlines and Transaero Airlines have
concluded a codeshare agreement that will expand the networks of
both airlines.
The agreement was signed by Mr Joey Seow,
Singapore Airlines’ Vice President Partnerships, and Transaero’s
General Director, Ms Olga Pleshakova. The codeshare flights are
already available for sale for travel from 1 August 2011.
Under the agreement, Singapore Airlines will add
its code to Transaero-operated flights between the Russian capital
Moscow and Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Samara and St. Petersburg.
Transaero will in turn add its code to Singapore Airlines-operated
flights between Moscow and Singapore, and between Moscow and the
US city of Houston.
Singapore Airlines’ Senior Vice President
Marketing, Mr Tan Chik Quee, said, “We are confident the tie-up will pave the way for more leisure and
business travel by offering customers of both airlines more travel
options via Moscow and Singapore.”
