The Aleenta Hua Hin-Pranburi has appointed Jan Willem Kuipers as Resident Manager.

Dutch-born Mr Kuipers has more than 12 years experience in the hospitality industry, having most recently held the position of Managing Director at the Banyan Village, Resort & Golf Hua Hin for the past two years.

Mr Kuipers also has a wealth of experience in the role of General Manager across several prestigious resorts in Asia Pacific and Europe, including Baan Laksasubha Resort, Hua Hin, Park Hyatt Saigon, Vietnam, and Germany’s Hyatt Regency Cologne.

Formerly a traditional family beach villa, Aleenta Hua Hin-Pranburi was converted into a deluxe boutique resort in 2003 and features 23 suites.

It is a two-and-a-half hour drive south of Bangkok and a short distance away from a range of world-class golf courses, Sam Roi Yot National Park and the historic town of Hua Hin.

The resort also features Spa IV, Aleenta’s signature spa, which emphasises holistic health and well being, and a fine dining restaurant that focuses on using organic produce.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such a forward-thinking luxury boutique resort as Aleenta Hua Hin-Pranburi,” said Mr Kuipers. “The resort has always been at the forefront of providing a luxury lifestyle experience, while continuing to express individuality, and I am excited about taking it forward and ensuring it maintains its position as a leader of innovation, comfort and style.”
