Jetstar has added Guangzhou to its growing
number of mainland China destinations.
Jetstar will start a daily
service to Guangzhou from 22 December 2011, with the addition of
its 16th Airbus A320 aircraft to its growing hub in Singapore.
Jetstar Asia Chief Executive Officer Ms Chong
Phit Lian said Guangzhou, one of Singapore’s closest trade and
tourism partners, was an important next step in Jetstar’s
expansion into China.
“Our commitment to Singapore-China routes over
the past two years has made Jetstar the fastest growing carrier
between the two countries. We increased our mainland China capacity by 300% in 2010 and we expect it will rise a further 150% in 2011 to unlock the latent travel demand that low fares create,”
said Ms Chong.
Jetstar currently offers services
to Guilin, Hangzhou, Haikou, Ningbo, Shantou, Hong Kong, Taipei
and Macau. Flights to Beijing start 24 November 2011, subject to
regulatory approvals.
An
all-inclusive one-way Economy Starter sale fare of Sin$98 runs until 19 October 11.59pm
Singapore time. The
sale is valid for travel from 22 December 2011 until 17 January
2012; 7 February until 7 March 2012; and 11 April until 23 May
2012. Terms and conditions apply.
