LAN Appoints New General Manager Australia, New Zealand and Asia

LAN Airlines has appointed Patricio Aylwin as General Manager, Australia, New Zealand and Asia, based in Sydney.

Mr Aylwin succeeds Rodrigo Contreras, who has been appointed as International Sales Manager, Chile, at LAN’s headquarters in Santiago.

Previously, Mr Aylwin was LAN’s Manager of Long Haul Revenue management. Prior to this, he held positions including Head of Strategic Alliances and Route Economics Analyst.

In his new role, Mr Aylwin will be responsible for continuing LAN’s strong growth in Australia and New Zealand, increasing tourist traffic to South America and increasing LAN’s presence in Asia through growth of sales in existing markets and development of new markets.

He also will be responsible for building relationships with existing partner airlines in Asia, and developing new relationships with other strategically-important carriers.
