Great Hotels of the World, the London-based
hotel sales and marketing alliance, has grown its global portfolio
with the following new members:
The Palms Hotel Tower
and Villas in India is a peaceful oasis right in the middle
of the bustling city of Mumbai. The hotel offers guests a
panoramic view of flowered walkways and picturesque valleys as it
is sprawled across 240 acres of garden space. The hotel boasts 223
rooms and 109 villas with private pools and balconies.
Guests can enjoy the hotels 24-hour coffee
shop, Jade Pavillion, the hotels restaurant with a wide selection
of dishes and authentic recipes, and Villlagios, its very own
Italian specialty restaurant. There are also tennis and squash
courts and a 9-hole golf course onsite, after which you can visit
the 19th Hole Bar and a gift shop.
The Palms Hotel also features 13 conference and
banquet rooms which can accommodate as little as 60 and as many as
1200 people.
Hotel Pentelikon and
Suites is situated in one of Athens most exclusive suburbs,
within easy reach of the airport and all Athens famous sights. A
large investment has resulted in the hotels expansion, now
operating with 101 rooms and suites that offer upgraded
accommodation and multi-purpose facilities such as a convention
centre for 400 people, meeting rooms for up to 100 people and a
large ballroom accommodating 300 people.
The hotel also features the renowned Vardis
Restaurant, considered to be one of the top restaurants in Athens.
It is the only restaurant in a Greek hotel that has been awarded a
Michelin star for eight consecutive years, recognised for its
exquisite Mediterranean cuisine and surroundings. Guests can also
sample cuisine at La Terrasse Restaurant, offering a distinct
atmosphere from morning until night or listen to jazz music at the
hotels bar. Hotel Pentelikon also features a swimming pool,
beautiful gardens, Jacuzzi, sauna, fully equipped gym and spa
which offers the latest treatments.
Grand Hotel Reykjavik
is centrally located in Icelands capital city and is only a short
distance from all famous sites and business centres. It is now one
of the largest hotels in Iceland with 312 spacious rooms and
suites, and is one of the few hotels in the world to have
undertaken extensive works to eliminate electro-magnetic
pollution, controlling pollution from the electrical supply.
The hotel also boasts an la carte restaurant,
Brasserie Grand, offering a varied menu of international delights
and fresh Icelandic seafood specialties. Guests can also enjoy a
treatment or workout in the hotels fitness centre and grand spa
which has a sauna, steam bath and Jacuzzi onsite. The hotel also
has 17 meeting rooms.
The 185-room
Metropolitan Hotel New Delhi is centrally located in New
Delhis premier shopping district and only steps away from the
financial centre. The hotel houses renowned restaurants with
eclectic options to choose from, including the award winning
Sakura, a popular Japanese restaurant. The Metropolitan Hotel also
features Chutney Bar + Tandoor, offering guests fusion pan-Indian
cuisine and Zing, the all-day world cuisine restaurant.
In addition, the hotel has a full service
business centre, stylish banquet halls and meeting venues, not to
mention an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush green
landscape and NeoVeda Spa.
The Old Swan and Minster
Mill is set in the heart of the Old Minster village with a
rich history that goes back almost 600 years. This boutique inn
captures the charm of bygone years coupled with modern
convenience, yet displays a laid-back atmosphere with its very own
dining room and log-fired bar, making it an ideal setting for a
romantic getaway.
The Old Swan boasts 16 beamed guestrooms and
suites which provide both traditional and luxurious accommodation
with modern conveniences.
The Minster Mill is located next door and though
not as traditional, the rooms are funky and modern with personal
touches that the de Savary Family have added. All 40 rooms are
designed with an eco-friendly country-contemporary style and
overlook the gardens and meadows beyond.
Guests can enjoy other activities, such as
fishing on the River Windrush or a relaxation treatment at the
inns Windrush Spa. The Old Swan also possesses one of
Oxfordshires finest gastro pubs.
