Worldhotels has reported a year-on-year increase
of 29% on revenue and a 21% increase on its room night bookings
for the third quarter of 2011.
The group attributes this growth largely to
increased distribution in all electronic channels, particularly
via its products OTA360° and Spider by Worldhotels – tools
designed to drive indirect and direct online bookings. The
introduction of these management tools provides properties with
the opportunity to enhance international visibility, maximise
internet bookings and ultimately increase profit margins.
2011 already promised to be a successful year
with first quarter results showing an increase of 20% on the
group’s room night bookings. This continued growth goes a long way
in helping Worldhotels achieve its key objectives this year.
“2011 continues to be a great year for
Worldhotels; such growth in the current economic climate is
excellent news for the group and all of its partners,” said
Worldhotels Asia Pacific Vice President, Roland Jegge. “Besides
growth and ongoing recovery in our GDS channels, we have seen a
particular increase in bookings through our internet booking
engine Resmaster as well as OTAs.”
