The Mantra Samui Resort and Spa, a member of Great Hotels of the World Luxury Collection, has opened following a three and a half year development at a cost of roughly US$20 million.

Mantra Samui Resort and Spa comprises 74 rooms, including The Wow, The Love, The Cosy and The Grand, all with views of Koh Samui’s northern coast.

The Love rooms are specially tailored for couples and honeymooners and feature private jacuzzis on the terrace, while The Grand rooms are more ideally suited to families as they offer over 100sqm of space.

Facilities at the Mantra Samui include a fully equipped fitness centre and juice bar, a movie theatre which can be booked for private screenings and a Salt Yoga Studio built from Himalayan salt bricks.

The resort also features an outdoor infinity pool with built-in sun beds, a complimentary shuttle service to the nearby beach and a Splendid Spa with treatments such as classic Thai massage, four-hand massage and herbal and fruit body wraps.

There are two restaurants onsite including the Ubuntu restaurant, serving international cuisine and traditional Thai dishes, and Damma Dining, a unique dining experience which is limited to just twelve people per night.

Every room at the Mantra Samui comes complete with a computer and complimentary WiFi access. The resort can also provide specialised secretarial services and boasts meeting rooms, all with natural daylight, catering for up to 30 people. The resort can cater weddings for up to 60 people.

Robert Mayer, General Manager of Mantra Samui, said, “We are delighted that after three and a half years of hard work, Mantra Samui is open for business. We have built a unique team to create a unique hotel where we can share our passion for hospitality with friends. Our goal is to make every guest feel better than they do in their own home.”

The Mantra Samui is located on a hill just five minutes by car from Bo Phut beach. The resort provides complimentary shuttle to Bo Phut where hotel staff can provide guests with towels.
