Dubai-based Emirates recently embarked on a
global recruitment drive to increase its 11,000-strong cabin crew,
as the international airline continues to grow and reach greater
heights.
With Emirates receiving delivery of 18 new jets
during the last financial year and over a hundred aircraft on
order as well as its launch of five new routes from Dubai to
Madrid, Amsterdam, Prague, Dakar and Tokyo this year, the
multi-award winning airline will be recruiting new cabin crew in
line with its fleet expansion.
In Singapore, Emirates through its appointed
agency in Singapore, Sass Atlantic, will conduct an Open Day on 10
April 2010 where interested candidates can walk-in anytime from
9am to 4pm with their applications. The Open Day is to be held at
the Holiday Inn Atrium Singapore, 317 Outram Road, Singapore
169075, Changi Room III (Level 4).
Suitable candidates will then be
pre-selected to proceed to the next stage of screening held on 24
and 25 April 2010. Final interviews for shortlisted candidates
from the screening will take place over three days from 26 till 28
April 2010.
Almost 400 candidates had recently stepped
forward in Madrid for Emirates’ latest recruitment drive in Spain
in January 2010 while around 10,000 applications are received
globally each month. Close to 11,000 cabin crew, spanning 128
nationalities, currently serve the airline. All are based in
Dubai.
Nick Rees, Emirates’ Manager, Singapore and
Brunei, said, “In keeping with the best-in-class service standards
offered by Emirates, we aim to attract suitable candidates who
will deliver our signature service excellence to all our valued
customers. Candidates should combine the desire to explore the
world with a passionate approach to service delivery.”
Emirates offers competitive compensation and
benefits packages as well as excellent training and professional
development opportunities. These include access to
state-of-the-art training facilities and e-learning programmes
specially designed for those seeking a long-term future with the
airline. Living in Dubai also offers many lifestyle benefits to
cabin crew. Successful candidates slated to join Emirates’ winning
team of cabin crew will undergo seven weeks of intensive training
in Dubai before being officially cleared to fly.
Singaporean cabin crew member, Farah Binte
Hassan Ashibile, who joined Emirates in October 2006 following a
recruitment drive in Singapore, recalled: “I was so excited when I
found out that I was successful in my application and would be
making the move to Dubai. Indeed, it was a key turning point in my
life. I am proud to be a member of the cabin crew that has helped
Emirates to be where it is today – a prestigious and
well-respected global airline that has received over 400
international awards. Emirates has allowed me to gain a true life
experience with a job where no two days are the same. I relish the
challenge of working on the frontline for a brand widely known for
its service excellence and look forward to many more exciting,
fulfilling and meaningful years with the company.”
