Air China’s PhoenixMiles frequent flyers can now
accumulate additional mile awards when purchasing international or
domestic flight tickets through Air China’s hotline
(4008-986-999).
Domestic PhoenixMiles travelers who purchase
designated cabin seats will be awarded 500 kilometers for every
one-way flight or 1000 kilometers for every round-trip flight
journey. When flying internationally, PhoenixMiles members will
receive an additional 2 kilometers for every 10 RMB spent on
international airfare.
An Air China free ticket can be
traded for at least 8000 kilometers, and can be exchanged for even
less when combined with other promotions. For example, for the
Beijing-Shanghai route, the normal mileage award is 1088
kilometers. Now, passengers can enjoy an additional 500 kilometer
award for each single trip, coming to a total of 1588 kilometers.
Consequently, the mileage awards of 6 single trip flights or 3
round trip flights equate to a free ticket.
In order to utilize
small amounts of mileage for frequent flyers, Air China has
also launched an initiative to trade 1000 kilometers for RMB 30 air
ticket coupons. PhoenixMiles travelers are able to trade only a
limited number of coupons (1000) at Air China’s E-shop. With the
coupons, members are able to use small mileage amounts and have
more options in using their mileage.
Once coupons have
been successfully traded, PhoenixMiles members will receive an Air
China coding message within 3 working days. When purchasing
tickets through Air China’s hotline (4008-986-999), they can use
the coupon along with the coding message and their mobile phone
number. PhoenixMiles members are only able to trade a maximum of 3
coupons each time and use one coupon for each ticket.
The
coupon trades and additional mileage awards can be enjoyed at the
same time. Since PhoenixMiles members are able to receive an
additional 1000 kilometer award when purchasing a domestic
round-trip ticket. They can then use the awarded 1000 kilometers
to trade for a RMB 30 coupon to use on their next trip.
“With the rapid development of domestic airlines’ direct sales
channels, the advantages are becoming more and more obvious, such
as the associated convenience, efficiency and low cost,” said Zhou
Enyong, General Manager of Air China’s marketing department. “Air
China is committed to providing passengers with innovative and
cutting-edge mileage services. We advise passengers to utilize Air
China’s website when purchasing tickets to ensure that they
receive the latest promotions.”
Air China, a Star Alliance member, has a fleet
of 256 Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
