Singapore’s newest icon, Marina Bay Sands, will
be celebrating the nation’s upcoming 45th birthday with a series
of special deals for its guests.
Over the long weekend of 6 to 10 August 2010,
hotel guests who stay at Marina Bay Sands will be able to enjoy a
complimentary daily breakfast for two persons and a bottle of
house wine. They will also get one complimentary SkyPark Photo
Xperience as well as special SkyPark souvenirs for two persons.
The icing on the cake is free unrestricted access to the Sands
SkyPark – including the Public Observation Deck – to enjoy the
spectacular fireworks during National Day, 9 August 2010.
To join in the celebrations, retailers at The
Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands are also providing special offers
incorporating the numbers “45” during the same weekend for these
hotel guests. Participating retailers include Boss Hugo Boss, Chomel, Citigems, Destinée, Hush Puppies, Jin Shan, Lucenté by
Goldheart, Madame Butterfly, Max Mara, Obermain, OPI and SK
Jewellery.
“This year’s National Day celebrations
will be held at the Padang and involve a march around the exciting
Marina Bay area. Our excellent location at Marina Bay gives guests
an opportunity to enjoy the buzz and excitement of the nation’s
celebrations in the heart of the city, and to view the stunning
fireworks from the Sands SkyPark,” said Thomas Arasi, CEO and
President of Marina Bay Sands.
Come 9 August,
Marina Bay Sands will also join in the nation’s revelry with a
spectacular laser show at night. SkyPark ticket
prices for public remain the same on 9 August.
Since
opening its doors to the public, Sands SkyPark has received rave
reviews on the breathtaking views that it offers, and for its stunning
infinity pool feature – the world’s largest outdoor pool at the
height of 200 meters.
Some 100,000 people have
visited the Sands SkyPark since it opened on 24 June 2010.
On 9 August, SkyPark ticket sales for the public will
take place as per normal from 10am on the day itself, at Marina
Bay Sands Hotel Tower 3 on a “space-permitting” basis. To ensure a
comfortable experience for all visitors, Marina Bay Sands will
plan for the accommodation on the SkyPark for its in-house hotel
guests and monitor the occupancy of the SkyPark prior to selling
public tickets.
Pricing remains at Sin$20 for adults,
Sin$14 for children (aged between 2 – 12 years) and Sin$17 for senior
citizens (aged 55 years and above).
“We expect
Marina Bay Sands to be one of the most sought-after locations to
capture the spirit and joy of the nation as it celebrates its 45th
birthday. As visitors come to our destination over the National
Day weekend, the sense of celebration will be palpable, from all
corners of our property,” said Mr Arasi.
