New Wyndham Hotel Opens in New Orleans

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has opened the 170-room Wyndham Garden Hotel Baronne Plaza New Orleans.

Located at 201 Baronne Street in the city’s National Historic Lower Central Business District, the new Wyndham hotel, built in 1931, was completely renovated in 2009 and still features the building’s original Art Deco stone and granite facade.

The hotel is just 12 miles from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, within minutes of Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and only one block from the famous French Quarter, home to countless jazz clubs, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Each of the spacious guest rooms features pillow-topped mattresses with goose down bedding; 32-inch, high-definition flat screen televisions; complimentary, high-speed wireless Internet access; ergonomic chairs and spacious work desks; coffee makers; and clock radios equipped with MP3 connections. Bathrooms are elegantly appointed with granite countertops, massaging showerheads and Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa amenities. Children 12 years old and younger stay free when with an adult.

Guests can enjoy the hotel’s lobby-level café for light fare and quick-serve selections available throughout the day or enjoy a leisurely meal at Yokohama Sushi.

The hotel offers 5,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a 3,500-square-foot ballroom ideal for accommodating small groups or large meetings of up to 390 guests.

A shuttle service provided by the city of New Orleans offers an easy and convenient way for guests to get to and from the airport during their stay.

The new Wyndham hotel joins three Wyndham hotels in serving guests visiting New Orleans: the 202-room Wyndham Riverfront New Orleans, the 93-room The Whitney - A Wyndham Hotel and the 251-room Chateau Bourbon, A Wyndham Hotel.
