Between 13 - 20 March 2010 Hua Hin again
celebrated its 100th anniversary with an event that should make
Hua Hin, and Thailand as a whole, very proud. There were problems
with the wind in the middle of the competition, but it all came
together at the end to produce a thrilling final and a great
advertisement for Hua Hin, which at just 2 - 3 hours from Bangkok
is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination for
foreigners and Thai residents alike.
The InterContinental Hua Hin Resort deserves a
mention, as not only is it in our eyes at least, the best hotel in the
centre of Hua Hin, it was also a main sponsor. We will have a lot
more about why this hotel is so very special soon.
Below we have a few HD videos of the world cup
and it must be stressed that more are on the way, including shots
of the prize giving and more competition videos.

Hua Hin has long been a popular destination for
travellers living in Bangkok, or for those that prefer to stay
close to the capital city and yet still enjoy perfect beaches,
clean air and a relaxed yet well developed town. But does it have
what it takes to host a successful Kiteboarding World Cup, enough
wind and selling power to ensure that it becomes an annual must
visit event? TravelNewsAsia.com sat with the Event Manager, Mr
Todd Schoenberger to ask him:
Why Hua Hin?
The conditions in Hua Hin could not be better
for the Hua Hin Kiteboarding World Cup 2010 at the new and
luxurious InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. As you can see from
this brief teaser video, the wind is blowing, the sun shining and
the boards are out. The first two days on 13 and 14 March 2010 are
the local qualifiers. The main competition begins on Monday, 15
March 2010. We will have a lot more coverage from this exciting
event so do check back.

how the
Kiteboard Tour Asia will differ from the
Hua Hin Kiteboarding World Cup 2010 which took place at the
InterContinental Hua Hin between 13 and 20 March 2010, and what
visitors to Pak Nam Pran beach, and indeed the luxurious Evason
Hua Hin, can expect.
