Airphil Express has taken delivery of a brand
new Airbus A320. This is the fourth Airbus A320 added to the
Airphil Express fleet this year.
The first
two A320 aircraft delivered earlier this year and the third
aircraft just last month, have allowed the airline to open new
routes in Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, Cebu,
Davao, and Zamboanga.
With its fleet
expansion, Airphil Express will commence operations to its first
regional destination, Singapore, on 27 October to be followed
by Cebu – Singapore operations on 1 December 2010.
In
pursuing its commitment to be a major low-cost carrier player in
the Philippine market, Airphil Express will continue to grow its
A320 fleet with the arrival of two more aircraft before the end of
this year.
By the end of 2010, the airline will have added
a total of six new Airbus A320 180-seater aircraft to its fleet.
Airphil
Express currently flies to 36 destinations, with hubs in Manila,
Cebu, Davao and Zamboanga.
