bmi, British Midland International, is to launch
a new route between London Heathrow and Berlin on 28 March 2010.
The route will be operated using an Airbus A319 aircraft with four
daily flights serving Germany’s cultural and vibrant capital city,
Berlin.
Return fares for Flights to Berlin from
London Heathrow start from £99 return including taxes, with
Flights to London from Berlin start from €99 return including
taxes.
“We are delighted to announce a service
between London and Berlin which offers a good schedule and
competitive prices to one of Europe’s most exciting cities. Berlin
is a major centre of culture, politics, media and science in
Europe and customers travelling with bmi will have the opportunity
to discover the cultural attractions Berlin has to offer,” said
Dominic Paul, managing director of bmi mainline. “This is the
second new service for bmi’s summer 2010 schedule, following the
announcement about our new London-Vienna service in January.”
The new route comes as bmi relaunches its
product on continental European flights from 28 March 2010 with a
two-class cabin serving the needs of business and leisure
customers.
The Business Class cabin will offer a full
Business Class service, including hot food served on all flights
and a fully stocked bar service. The seating in the Business Class
cabin will offer a 2:2 configuration, with the middle seat kept
free to offer more space to work or just to relax.
Customers in Economy will be able to enjoy bmi’s
full service benefits such as free checked baggage to a total
weight of 20kg and a complimentary food service including a hot
breakfast and full bar service throughout the day.
Business Class customers and Diamond Club Gold
and Silver members can take advantage of bmi’s Great British
Lounge, its flagship lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 1. Star
Alliance Gold members will also be offered complimentary lounge
access.
