Singapore’s 2010 Formula One (F1) levy on hotel
room revenues is to remain at four-nights the Singapore Tourism
Board has confirmed.
The F1 hotel levy will take effect from
Thursday, 23 September 2010 to Sunday, 26 September 2010. Rates
for the F1 levy on hotel room revenues in 2010 remain unchanged
from 2009 and 2008. The rates are:
(i) 30% of the total revenues from rooms and
room packages for trackside hotels; and (ii) 20 per cent of the
total revenues from rooms and room packages for all other tourist
hotels.
This year, the inclusion of Marina Bay Sands
Hotel and The Fullerton Bay Hotel brings the total number of
trackside hotels to 15, making available some 10,000 rooms for the
2010 race. The hotels are:
Carlton Hotel Conrad Centennial Singapore
Fairmont Singapore Grand Park City Hall Mandarin Oriental,
Singapore Marina Bay Sands Hotel Marina Mandarin Naumi
Peninsula Excelsior Hotel Raffles Hotel Swissotel The
Stamford, Singapore The Fullerton Bay Hotel The Fullerton
Hotel The Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore The Ritz-Carlton
Millennia, Singapore
The above F1 hotel levy is applicable for 2010
and is subject to further review thereafter.
