China Airlines is to launch scheduled passenger
services between Taipei, Taiwan and London, England, starting from
28 March 2010.
The new non-stop flights, CI-069 from
Taipei to London Heathrow, and CI-070 from London to Taipei, will
operate three times per week, using Airbus A340-300 aircraft,
configured with 30 business-class seats and 246 economy-class
seats.
With the inauguration of the new London
non-stop route, China Airlines will increase its number of
European destinations to five, with a total of 21 flights to
Europe per week.
In addition to London, China Airlines
provides non-stop services to Frankfurt and Vienna, while its
Amsterdam flights stop over in Bangkok, and its Rome flights stop
over in Delhi.
CAL also serves Prague via a codeshare
agreement with Czech Airlines, and it serves Hamburg, Hanover,
Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Nuremburg, Munich and Stockholm
through a landmark code-share agreement with rail operator ICE
Germany.
