Jetstar Asia has launched a series of marketing
campaigns designed to boost inbound tourism to Singapore from six
key Southeast Asian countries.
Targeting 11 cities from six major countries in
the Jetstar network, the new campaign will promote short break
travel to Singapore from 1 July until the end of October this
year.
Supported by a major multi-media advertising
campaign in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the
Philippines and Taiwan, Jetstar Asia in collaboration with the
Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Singapore Tourism
Board (STB) will be inviting consumers to book their travel during
this period to receive free incentives including flight and
accommodation.
Jetstar Asia and Valuair CEO Ms
Chong Phit Lian said, “The six key countries we are targeting include
traditional high visitor sources like Indonesia and Malaysia along
with emerging source countries such as Vietnam and the Philippines
which are still recording increases in visitor numbers to
Singapore.”
The Singapore promotion offers a free
return flight (excluding airport taxes) when a flight is booked to
Singapore for travel between 1 July 2009 until 31 October 2009.
Travelers who book one night in a participating Accor property,
either the Ibis Hotel on Bencoolen Street, Grand Mercure (Roxy) or
the Novotel will receive the second night free.
The Jetstar
traveler will also receive a complimentary ticket on the Singapore
Flyer and a Sin$5 voucher to spend at Singapore Changi Airport upon
departure.
The promotional package can be booked
between the 8th - 16th June 2009.
